Don't protect my feelings,
Be honest with me and let the disappointment come hard and
fast.
Though swift, it is also fleeting, and tomorrow I will be
free, new, and at peace.
But if you don't respect me, and hold from me the truth,
When I find out I shall be even more disappointed,
Not in and of myself, but rather disappointed with you.
Speak to me honestly and respectfully,
And my respect for you shall increase.
And a stronger friend you will have.
Speak to me as though I am fragile, or neglect to speak to
me at all,
Then why should I hold you in any position of laud?
Ask my forgiveness and you shall be forgiven.
Respect me and you will be respected.
Love me and I will love you.
